Creating Reports: Share of Voice Templates

These step-by-step videos below shows how to create an SoV report using a template.

Step 1: Choosing a Report Template

  1. Click Create Report.

  2. Name your report, then choose a report type:

    • Mention Report — track how your coverage changes across sources and topics

    • Share of Voice — compare your visibility to a fixed set of competitors

    • Sentiment Analysis — measure whether coverage skews positive, negative, or neutral over time

    • Don't see what you need? Use Create a report from scratch.

  3. Select a template for that report type. For example, Share of Voice offers:

    • My SoV — your share of voice vs. competitors (pie chart)

    • Content Channel SoV — your share of voice broken down by content type

    • Competitive Intelligence — your share of voice vs. competitors over time

Step 2: Define the Data Source

  1. Choose where the report should pull data from:

    • Use a Saved Collection, or

    • Build a Custom Dataset — set your search keyword(s), Content Types, Source Types (Premium Content, Uploaded Content), and Time Range.

  2. On Step 3: Create Reporting Groups:

    • Toggle Visualize data over time on or off, and choose the time increment (e.g., Month, Quarter).

    • Under We are measuring Share of Voice for, confirm the keyword (and add related terms if needed).

    • Under Data will be broken down by, choose the categories to compare (e.g., Research, Quote, Blog, X, LinkedIn).

  3. Click Finish and Generate Report. Report generation can take a few minutes — you can wait on screen or come back later from the Reports page.

Step 3: View the Report

  1. Once generation finishes, the report opens automatically (or find it later from Reports and click into it).

  2. The chart sits at the top — use the menu icon (☰) in its corner to Download PNG/JPEG/PDF/SVG, Download CSV, or View data table (adds a summary table under the chart).

  3. Below the chart, the detailed content table lists every matching item (Published Date, Title, Type, Firm, Influencers, URL) — searchable, sortable, and exportable.

  4. On the left, Data Set Filters and Report Groupings show what the report is built on; use Edit Data Source or Edit Reporting Groups to adjust either without starting over.

  5. Use the ⋮ menu (top right) to Copy Report, Edit Data Source, Edit Reporting Groups, Export Report, or Delete Report.
