The ARInsights connector for Claude lets you ask questions about your ARchitect data in plain language and get answers in a Claude conversation. Claude reads your analyst relations records directly from ARchitect, so you can prepare for briefings, review what analysts have said, and research coverage without building a report or exporting data.
With the connector, you can:
Find industry analysts and influencers by firm, coverage area, location, or group, and review their profiles and rankings.
Review briefings, inquiries, and other interactions, including who attended, which projects and coverage areas they touched, and the summary.
Search insights captured from analyst conversations by firm, analyst, category, sentiment, and date.
Search premium content, including analyst research, blogs, quotes, and X and LinkedIn posts, plus content your organization has uploaded.
See your analyst relations projects, their status, leads, and the analysts and firms involved.
Look up the ARchitect users and participants who lead and attend interactions and projects.
The connector is read-only. Claude can read your ARchitect data but cannot create, change, or delete anything in ARchitect.

Before you get started
ARchitect access: you need an active ARchitect user account. Claude can see only the data your ARchitect account can see.
Claude plan: connectors are available on paid Claude plans. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner must add the ARInsights connector before members can connect.
One site per connection: if you have access to more than one ARchitect site, each connection uses the site you sign in to. To query a different site, disconnect and connect again (see Switch sites).
Fields that aren't available: Claude can use only the fields listed under Supported ARchitect data. If you ask for something else, Claude should tell you it isn't available.
Third-party terms: your use of Claude is governed by your agreement with Anthropic. Review your organization's AI policies before connecting.

Add the ARInsights connector to your organization (Owners)
On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner adds the connector once for everyone. If you are on an individual plan, skip to Connect your ARchitect account and add the connector yourself from Settings.
In Claude, go to Organization settings > Connectors.
Click Add, then choose Custom > Web.
In the Add custom connector dialog, enter ARInsights as the name and https://mcp.arinsights.com/mcp as the URL.
Click Continue. Make sure Sign in now and Register automatically are selected.
Scroll to the bottom of the dialog and click Add.
Connect your ARchitect account
In Claude, open Settings > Connectors.
Find ARInsights and click Connect.
Sign in with your ARchitect username and password, and choose the site you want to use if prompted.
Review the access request and click Allow. You return to Claude, and ARInsights shows as connected.
The connector works in Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, and the Claude mobile apps once you connect.
Use ARInsights with Claude Code
If you use Claude Code, add the connector from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http arinsights https://mcp.arinsights.com/mcp
Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, select arinsights, and choose Authenticate to sign in to ARchitect in your browser.
Use the ARInsights connector
Start a new conversation in Claude.
Click the + button (or the tools menu) in the message box and make sure ARInsights is turned on.
Ask your question in plain language. Mentioning ARInsights or ARchitect in your prompt helps Claude choose the connector.
Claude shows which ARInsights tools it used. Expand a tool call to see the filters it applied and the records it received.
Choose when Claude asks permission. In Settings > Connectors > ARInsights, you can set each tool to Always allow, Needs approval, or Never. Because every ARInsights tool is read-only, most customers choose Always allow so questions run without interruptions.
Best practices
Be specific. Name the firm, analyst, coverage area, or date range you care about ("Forrester, last 90 days") instead of asking about "analysts" in general.
Start small. Ask about one analyst or one firm first, then broaden.
Ask Claude to show its sources. Claude can include links to premium content and the titles and dates of interactions and insights so you can check them in ARchitect.
Check important facts before you share them. Claude summarizes your data, and summaries can be wrong. Confirm key details in ARchitect before you send them to executives or analysts.
Use the latest Claude model and turn on extended thinking for multi-step questions, such as briefing preparation or competitor comparisons.
Switch sites
Each connection uses one ARchitect site. To use a different site:
Go to Settings > Connectors > ARInsights and click Disconnect.
Click Connect and sign in, choosing the other site.
Disconnect the ARInsights connector
In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors.
Find ARInsights, click the ... menu, and choose Disconnect.
Owners can remove the connector for the whole organization from Organization settings > Connectors.
Troubleshooting
"Couldn't reach the MCP server" or "Authorization failed"
Check that the URL is exactly https://mcp.arinsights.com/mcp, with no extra spaces or trailing characters. Disconnect, then connect again. If your company uses a firewall or VPN, ask IT whether connections to mcp.arinsights.com are allowed.
Claude doesn't use ARInsights
Make sure ARInsights is turned on in the conversation's tools menu, and mention ARInsights or ARchitect in your prompt.
Claude returns no results
Confirm you are connected to the right ARchitect site (see Switch sites).
Check that you can see the same records when you sign in to ARchitect directly.
Try a broader question: remove a filter, widen the date range, or use part of a name instead of the full name.
The answer looks incomplete
Results are returned in pages, and long text is trimmed. Ask Claude to "get the next page" or "show the full record" for the item you need.

Frequently asked questions
What ARchitect data can Claude access?
Only the data listed under Supported ARchitect data, and only the records your ARchitect account can see on the site you connected to.
Can Claude change my ARchitect data?
No. The connector is read-only. Claude cannot create, edit, or delete records in ARchitect.
Can other people in my organization see my results?
No. Each person signs in with their own ARchitect account, and their conversations stay in their own Claude account unless they share them.
Is my ARchitect data used to train Claude?
How Anthropic uses conversation data depends on your Claude plan and settings. Commercial plans (Team, Enterprise, and the API) are not used for training by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy and your organization's Claude settings for details.
What does ARInsights log when I use the connector?
ARInsights records which tools are called, the filters used, and a short description of what you asked for, so we can support you and improve the connector. If you ask for something the connector can't do yet, Claude may send ARInsights a short description of that request. See the ARInsights privacy policy for how this information is stored and retained.
Can I see custom fields?
Yes, for interactions, insights, and projects. Ask Claude to include custom fields in its answer.
Does the connector work in languages other than English?
You can ask questions and get answers in other languages. Your ARchitect data is returned in the language it was entered in.
Is the connector available on mobile?
Yes. After you connect on the web or Desktop, ARInsights is available in the Claude mobile apps.
Can I ask for something the connector doesn't support?
Yes. Claude will tell you if the information isn't available, and your request helps us decide what to add next. You can also send feature requests to your Customer Success Manager.
